Dua Lipa is an English singer and musician born on August 22, 1995 in London United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album titled "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album reached the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released including Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 within the United States. Lipa received the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum across a variety of nations. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. It is also possible to trace back her ancestors in Peja, the Kosovo city of Peja. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. There are two sisters, Rina Gjin and Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of Oda, the Kosovan rock band Oda. Her father at home continued playing music which included his music and compositions, as well as songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa was barely five when she started singing. She started singing during her school, the Sylvia Young Theater School when she was just nine years older. Lipa performed If I Ain't Goin' to You from Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa's record contract to Warner Bros. Records was signed in the year 2014. Her debut song New Love was released on August 15, 2015.
