Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada. She is American. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco has released over 20 albums. Ani DiFranco was among the first artist to launch her own label in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a ex-student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were students at the same school. Her mother was born in Montreal as is her father, who is Italian descent. Ani Difrasco wrote and recorded the track "32 Flavors". It is a track from her album Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio release. The track was included in the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologised in 2013 when it was reported that she would be hosting the three-day workshop on a Louisiana slave plantation. A lot of people (including us) did not feel impressed by her decision. DiFranco offered a second apology a few days later. Although she's known by the name of Little Peoplesinger, she has been in contact with a myriad of musicians and artists from Pete Seeger through Chuck D until Prince. The singer lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is married to Kristen Ford. In the span of 14 months, DiFranco had already written her own songs. She performed them at coffeehouses, bars, and in the streets during her teens. DiFranco began taking courses in Buffalo State College at age 16 after graduating from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Ani's custom Alvarez baritone was the result of several meetings we held with Chrys Johnson who was the representative for artist Alvarez. It is an System 600 guitar with solid wooden tops made of cedar, mahogany for the back and sides, as well as an ebony fretboard. The couple lives with their two kids at home in New Orleans and Lefty, their sidekick long-legged canine that is never out of the frame. DiFranco is open about the fact that she feels mixed emotions about her previous career which spans three decades. Ani DiFranco is a writer and musician from the punk/folk genre, was only 25 when she released her 7th album Not A Pretty Girl and enjoyed even greater popularity in the public by releasing Dilate. The 1972 pop-rock song Brandy (You're a fine girl) was composed by the American group Looking Glass for their debut album Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie wrote the song.
